I was born in Malawi, Central Africa and I grew up on a farm in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) with the odd sortie to boarding school. I fell in love with the outdoors, running barefoot with my brother and learning about the wildlife and flora and fauna.  School, or though I hate to admit it, did teach me well. I was lucky enough to found creative Art Teachers who instilled in me a love of art.

We moved to South Africa where I found like minded Artists and Teachers joined Art Societies and exhibited with them in places like Kirstenbosch Gardens and Constantiaberg Wine Farm in the shadows of Table Mountain.

From Africa we moved to Asia and lived in Hong Kong a city which affects all your senses, and inspiration came not only from the glistening High rise Towers, but, from the every day culture of the citizens, including their openness, friendliness and curiosity of this solitary 'Gweipo' sketching and photographing their every day life.

We then immigrated to Australia and settled in Sydney where, I have been lucky to explore the waterways of the Pittwater and Parramatta and gather endless inspiration.
